Xanodyne Welcomes New President and CEO

Newport, KY – June 19, 2007 –Xanodyne Pharmaceuticals, Inc., is pleased to announce that Mr. Greg Flexter has been named to the position of President and Chief Executive Officer. He will also be elected to the Company’s Board of Directors. He plans to assume his duties on July 9, 2007.

Mr. Flexter was most recently at Shire Pharmaceuticals, where he was the Executive Vice President and General Manager of Shire’s North American operations, in addition to being a corporate officer and member of the Executive Committee. While at Shire, Mr. Flexter oversaw the growth of the ADHD franchise to over $1 billion in annual sales.

Mr. Flexter has over 26 years of global and domestic pharmaceutical management experience. He began his career in R&D at Marion Laboratories, served as head of Global Marketing and Medical Research for Neuroscience at Hoechst Marion Roussel and served as head of a fully integrated neuroscience business unit at Novartis US.
